Bergen / Worldwide
A photographer built for slow travel.
Landscape and travel photography for magazines, brands and collectors. I go to fewer places, stay longer, and come back with pictures that feel like the place rather than the postcard.
What I believe
Light rewards patience. I plan for weather, not for postcards.

I grew up on the west coast of Norway, where the weather changes five times before lunch, and learned photography on long walks with my grandfather’s old rangefinder. After six years on staff at a travel magazine I went independent in 2014. Since then I’ve photographed in 31 countries for editorial clients, tourism boards and outdoor brands, and built a handful of long-running personal series that I print in small editions. I still work the same way: one place at a time, as slowly as the job allows.
Where I work · Two ways
Booking 2027
Close to home, far afield.

Western Norway · Home ground
The fjords, islands and mountains I grew up with. Most of my personal work starts here, and I run small field workshops in Lofoten and around Bergen twice a year.

Worldwide · On assignment
Editorial and commercial work in 31 countries so far, from Patagonia to Kyoto. I travel light, usually alone, and plan every trip around the season and the light.

“I don’t chase the famous view. I go back to the same places until they stop posing, and photograph what’s left when the crowds and the good weather have gone home.”
